Gym Policies

MEMBERSHIP FEES: Your recurring membership fee is based on a set number of sessions per month (generally 12 or 16 sessions) as specified in the front of the agreement. The membership fee in effect at the time of signing the present agreement will remain throughout the life of your membership unless the government imposes additional taxes/fees. Sessions trained in excess of this set number will be payable separately. 

PAYMENT: All memberships are paid in advance monthly, on the calendar date of 28th, for the following month. Weekly Pass are paid in-full at the time of the purchase. All packages shall be paid via automatic debited payment (credit card, debit card or automatic checking account draft). In the event of a declined credit card/debit card, your account will be immediately suspended, pending you update the payment information and its membership dues paid in full. The last month deposit is non-refundable and is to ensure completion of the contract.

SESSION SCHEDULING: All sessions will be scheduled at fixed 30-minute slots or 1-hour slots, at least 3 times per week on a recurring basis. Sessions will preferentially be scheduled on alternate days to allow for rest and recovery between workouts.

SESSION ROLL OVER: Sessions can roll over week to week, month to month within the contractual time frame and cannot be used outside of the scope of your assigned contract.

RENEWAL: Your membership will automatically renew when the initial period expires.

RESCHEDULING: A session may be rescheduled only if prior notification is given. Prior notification means notifying Symmetry Gym at least 12-hours prior to a scheduled session. Makeup sessions will preferentially be rescheduled within the calendar month. Monthly dues indicated on the front of the agreement are payable regardless of the number of unused or “makeup” sessions. You may also “gift” unused sessions to a friend or family member within the timeframe of the agreement. 

TARDINESS: If a trainer is late by 5 minutes, that session will be compensated by one additional session at no charge to you. If you are late you will be trained for the remainder of the scheduled hour only.

LATE CANCELLATIONS: Late cancellations will be assessed as a completed session. Late cancellation is defined as any cancellation made less than 12 hours prior to a scheduled session. To avoid losing sessions under the late cancellation policy, cancel or reschedule sessions 12 hours prior to your booked session.

NO SHOWS: If you do not show up for a session, your session will be marked as a completed session.  No refund shall be given for unused sessions. Failure to use the sessions does not relieve any of your obligations to pay the monthly fees for the period of the agreement. 

FREEZE: You can freeze your membership up to 30 days per contract, during that period you will be charged a fee of AED 250 per week to maintain your active membership. Failure to pay the freeze fee will result in your membership canceled immediately.

FITNESS EVALUATION: A fitness evaluation is mandatory before you begin a program with Symmetry Gym. Evaluations give you and your coach an idea of your fitness level and a starting point to design your program. Symmetry Gym will also re-evaluate your fitness every 12 weeks as part of the on-going program development process.

COACH ASSIGNMENT: Symmetry Gym will appoint 2 primary coaches responsible for your training sessions, nutrition coaching and monitoring progress and results for the length of the program (up to 12 weeks). Symmetry Gym reserves the right to rotate coaches and/or make changes to the primary coach if deemed necessary.

RESULTS: We promise real results. The rate of achieving real, lasting results depends on multiple factors, including but not limited to genetic issues; diet history; life-style issues such as vegetarianism and alcoholism; and prior accidents or injuries. All genetic, health, and lifestyle issues must be disclosed in the initial consultation in order to set a realistic expectation of achievable results.

CLIENT’S DEFAULT: You shall be deemed in default of this Agreement upon the failure to comply with any other terms and conditions of the Agreement, including but not limited to, the obligation to make any payment as and when due; the cancellation of direct debit Instructions; the default on deposited cheques or direct debit claims. Symmetry Gym retains the right to report defaults on payment obligations to the relevant UAE authorities.

TERMINATION:  Unacceptable behavior, serious or persistent breach of the gym rules and failure to pay any fees within 14 days are among the grounds on which the gym will cancel the membership. In case of premature termination of the membership agreement, the last month deposit is non-refundable.

REFUNDS: All Personal Training Package are non-refundable including the Weekly Pass and Online Training.

REFERRAL POLICY: If you introduce a family/friend to Symmetry Gym and s/he signs up for a 12 months membership, you will receive 12 additional sessions that you may use on top of your set of sessions per month.

PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE: You hereby grant Symmetry Gym, the right to take photographs and video footage of you while at Symmetry Gym and to use and publish these photos or videos in print and/or electronically. (Including publicity, illustration, advertising and web content).

FORCE MAJEURE: In the event either party is unable to perform its obligations under the terms of this Agreement because of strikes, pandemics, earthquakes, fires, floods, wars, civil or military disturbances, acts of terrorism, riots or governmental actions, this Agreement will be cancelled and all dues will have to be paid.
